Mural Mosaic’s Global Roots Project is delighted to announce our collaboration with Durant Parks & Recreation for the installation of the America Connects Nature’s Adventure National Mural Mosaic to be unveiled in Durant, Oklahoma on April 21st, 2025

Participants of all skill levels throughout the USA and many parts of the world have come together to paint hundreds of individual tiles for the America Connects Nature’s Spectacle National mural. Each artist has contributed a unique painting to the mural, representing their reflections of how we are all connected. With its vibrant colors and each painting’s style and expression, this national mosaic serves as a reminder of the power of collaborative art.

Since 2003, Mural Mosaic has been creating art that celebrates unity and diversity through awe inspiring mosaic productions. Using the Mural Mosaic process invented by artist Lewis Lavoie, the mission of our work is to bring people together in a way that honors our participants’ unique perspectives. We have produced Mural Mosaics throughout the globe, inspiring viewers to recognize the beauty of our differences and come together in one united work of art.

Our team is honored to have the opportunity to have the America Connects Nature’s Spectacle Mosaic as permanent work of art in the Durant community. We hope to inspire artists to continue to paint in a way that brings them joy, to celebrate connection and encourage everyone to share with one another.

This mural is a creative expression of how art and nature come together to enhance our parks and inspire adventure, exploration, and appreciation for the outdoors.
