Artist Comments: Who can resist the Circus?? As a girl growing up in the city, my interaction to any kind of live equine was very limited, but the circus brought them right into my backyard. And not just any horse or pony, but magical ones, graceful and beautiful. All decked out in their special feather boas and tack, snorting and loping around the ring, it was a far cry from pictures in a book. While circuses have had their share of problems, I hope they continue to improve and last. I hope children still get to experience that magic and wonder that is the circus, before they take that step into adulthood.
