The shapes in this panel presented quite a challenge, but when an image finally came, I had to paint it into something of what I was feeling that day. I had just come from the pasture where my horses were grazing so contentedly, and I remembered the feeling of pride as I watched my yearling filly race around and tease my huge 3 year old gelding. Raising horses has to be the most gratifying thing that anyone could do for themselves! It is almost a sense of huge accomplishment that I see them grow to be such well adjusted adults, and I can certainly understand why the Bedouins took such great pride in their horses.
