Title: Max’inux

Max’inux is the word used in the Kwak’wala language (West Coast Indigenous tribe) meaning Orca or black fish. Highly respected, they live similar to the way of the wolves, staying together in their family unit/pod for life. Story is said that when a person drowns, the Orcas will take them to their own village to be transformed into an Orca. So, when seeing the max’inux, it is a loved one saying hi.
