Mural Mosaic’s Global Roots Project is thrilled to announce our collaboration with Main Street St. Joseph in St. Joseph, Missouri where the America Connects Home & Family Mural Mosaic will be unveiled on October 16^th, 2024.

The America Connects Home & Family Mosaic is a one-of-a-kind art collaboration bringing together hundreds of artists in America and throughout the world to paint a tile representing their connection to Home & Family. This visual legacy mural reflects the beauty and power of collaboration, and shows us that when we come together, we can create a remarkable lasting artistic reminder of our shared experiences.

Since 2003, Mural Mosaic has been creating art that celebrates unity and diversity through awe inspiring mosaic productions. Using the Mural Mosaic process invented by artist Lewis Lavoie, the mission of our work is to bring people together in a way that honors everyone’s unique perspectives and experiences. They have produced Mural Mosaics throughout the world, inspiring viewers to recognize the beauty of our differences and come together in united work of art.

Mural Mosaic’s Global Roots Project is delighted to become part of the St. Joseph community, to have the opportunity to inspire artists and aspiring artists of the future with this remarkable mural. We hope that it will serve as a source of inspiration for those who view it, and that it will encourage them to explore their creative potential.

You could say this project is right up our alley since it will be installed in an alley responsible for leading visitors to and from one of our newest downtown attractions. This beautiful mosaic will not only enrich our streetscape but will also serve as a powerful symbol of unity and creativity. We believe this artwork will inspire pride among our residents and attract visitors, highlighting St. Joseph as a vibrant and inclusive city.

With each tile placed in a mural, Global Roots is reconnecting the world through the joy of art – one tile, one mural mosaic, one country at a time.
