Art Lesson:  Create artwork on a square for the school mural

Instructions:

1 - Create a square

Draw a square in a size you like – minimum 4″x4″ – maximum 8″ x8″ or print off your square from the template

2 - Create your artwork
-What do you like best about your school? What do you see around your school? birds, flowers, trees, snow, snowmen, snow forts , hockey rinks
  • Pick your Art Supplies… Paints work the best but use anything you like to create your art piece! (acrylic paint, Pencil crayons, markers, crayons, mixed media coloured paper etc.)
  • Make your tile Blue or Green
  • See ideas from samples below
  • Be sure to colour your entire square. Don’t leave any white areas. 

Art Supplies

GREEN SQUARE:

Use lots of dark greens and light greens mostly. Browns, yellows and dark purples, dark reds really add to your green paintings!
AVOID light or medium blues! But any other colour can be used as highlights GREEN is the primary focus.

BLUE SQUARE:


Use lots of light blues, dark blues, whites and cool colours. Other colours can be used as highlights but LOTS of blues in your creations!


3 - Take a picture of your finished artwork
-Attach your picture to the assignment in your Google Classroom.
