Artist Comments: This piece was inspired by the under painting on my panel, in which I saw a flag in the far right and a knight’s helm near the middle. The red fell in line with the tones of the panel and I wanted to instill a sense of power and strength which war mounts had to have in order to carry the armor of their riders and assist them in battle.
