Draft horses have played an important role on farms across Ontario and in the logging industry. They provided the horse power for logging, to build the towns. They plowed the fields and delivered goods in all weather.
“King”, a Belgian Draft Horse, was one of the many horses used for logging in Northern Ontario. A true gentle giant, King has retired from logging and is now a pampered pet.
Horses provide a low-impact and eco-friendly alternative to timber extraction, with little or no damage to standing timber, flora or fauna.
