“Black horses have long been my passion and my inspiration. I grew up daydreaming of a courageous black stallion who could overcome all evils and be my constant guide and companion. Of course this has carried through into my adult life, where he now serves as my muse and namesake for my studio, Black Horse Design. I am a bit of a wild child at heart, and am thrilled by exciting things such as racecars and thunderstorms on the prairies, which we only see during the hot summer months – in contrast to the long dreary cold winters which I hate. So when I selected this panel, right away my thoughts went to a stormy backdrop with a black stallion galloping his way towards us. Combining two things that I love – black horses and wild storms!”
